The ketubah carries a selection
of romantic poetry and bessings in Hebrew and English including "I
shall raise Jerusalem to the top of my celebration",
"...a single brighter light goes forthfrom their united being",
"May there always be heard in the cities of Israel and in the Streets of
Jerusalem: the sounds of joy and of happiness, the voice of the groom and the
voice of the bride" and two of the seven wedding blessings.
